•  Parents Guidelines
1.
Home is the first school and parents are the best teachers.  No teacher can substitute parents.  The school and the teachers are only an extension of the educational process which the parents have already begun a home.  Hence, we look forward to maximum co-operation and understanding between parents and school authorities which will enable us to bring out the best in every child entrusted to us and make the child a superior, learner, achiever and discoverer.  Parents are specially requested to go through all the rules and guidelines carefully and co-operate with the school in maintaining punctuality, regularity, discipline and courteous behaviour on the part of students.
2. During the working hours, if a parent wants to meet his/her child for some urgent reason, he of she shall kindly report at the Principal’s Office.  They shall not go to the class or the child directly.

Parents are expected to look into their child’s growth in academic and in the overall development and interact with the school regarding the same.  After every mid term and terminal examination all parents are requested to come to school to collect the progress report and have contact with the class teacher.  Parents are requested not to criticize the teachers or the school management in the presence of their children.  If they have any complaints they may kindly bring it to the notice of the Principal.

4. If a child is to be taken home during the working hours, parents shall inform the principal in person or in writing for permission. No other way the child will be sent out during the working hours.

Parents are requested to maintain a separate file for their child/children.  This should contain all the details of payment, communication and performances of the students.

6. The date and time of each examination is given in the school diary.  Parents are requested to arrange the visit and tour programmes so that they do not affect school programmes.
7. In no case re-exam will be conducted in any subject.  If a child falls ill during the exam, if possible, bring the child during the exam time and take the child back after examination.
a.
Please read and understand the contents of this almanac. Check it daily for entries from the school/teachers and sign the same. Also use the almanac for communication with the teachers.
b.
Parents are requested to ensure, that their children prepare a practical Home Time Table in consultation with their parents and teachers and adhere to it strictly.
c.
All articles like umbrella, books, Tiffin box etc. should bear the name of the student or his/her initials for easy identification.
d.
Due importance will be given to co-curricular activities. Parents are requested to be co-operative and take a special interest in this section in order to bring out and develop the hidden talents of their children.
e.
Parents/students are not allowed to give gifts to the staff of the school.
f.
Parents should furnish to the school their latest office and residential address and telephone numbers. These are vital in the interest of the safety of the student.
g.
See that your ward carries text books/exercise books according to the timetable of the day.  Parents must glance through the books, notebooks and answer papers of their children.
h.
Parents should not call up teachers at their residence. The problems/doubts would be dealt- with at school during visiting hours.
i.
Students should get their report cards signed by their parents/guardians within two days of receiving the report card.
j.
Encourage your wards to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports. Ensure they are prepared for the UT’s and Examinations.
k.
Daily pocket allowances should be restricted.  Excessive spending should be discouraged.
l.
Children are prohibited from bringing crackers, colours etc. to the school. Bursting of crackers or playing with colours is liable to suspension/expulsion of a student from school.
m.
Wards should be instructed to be careful about their belongings.  Expensive articles like transistors, video games, jewellery, mobiles, ipods and calculators should not be brought to school.  In case of violation of this rule the articles will be confiscated. The school and the management and teachers are not responsible for their loss.
n.
Boys must have a proper haircut.  There will be checking once a week.  Any boy found with long hair and beard will be sent to the school barber.
o.
You are advised not to send junk food items in the lunch-box.
p.
Students should not visit public places in school uniform.  They are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both in school and outside.  Misbehaviour in public places will be dealt with severely.
q.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE PARENTS ARE ALLOWED TO DIRECTLY WALK in TO THE CLASS ROOMS.  THEY NEED TO HAVE A PRIOR APPOINTMENT FOR ANY GENUINE REASONS TO MEET THE TEACHERS ONLY IN THE VISITORS LOUNGE.
r.
Parents Identity Card: As a safety measure, entry inside the school campus will not be allowed to the parents unless they present their school identity card at the gate. The security staffs have been instructed to enforce this rule without exception. Please co-operate.
s.
We have placed mail box in the school building. In case you have some questions to ask or have some problems, please write on a piece of paper, put in your name & telephone number and we shall get back to you.
t.
School Policy on Educational Trips: As part of our curriculum children are taken for field trips during an academic year.  Parents are informed and their consent is taken in the declaration form, which you need to sign.  Though the school takes utmost care of your ward’s safety, the school will not be held responsible in case of any unforeseen mishap beyond its control.  In case of an emergency we would like you to permit us to give your child first aid.
